introduction :

The Battle @ Eternity -

DJ Competition, December 2000

This was my first time ever playing on a club system. No experience and had practiced continually on budget drives. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't mix on budgets or you have to have Technics. You may find that using rubbish decks will help you in the long run. I'm sure it has with me.

This was a local competition run at a local night club. 47 DJs entered the competition. The rules were simple. 15 minutes to prove your stuff. It was split over four heats and a final.

I have re-done my winning set which can be downloaded here should you wish to have a listen. I re-entered it with a slight twist for an online competition which got voted best mix by other DJ forum users. The mix was entitled "Battle from Source".

That'd be me at the bottom left then. And he don't wanna let go of that mixer does he? For a short man he has a whole bunch of grip I can tell you.....
